Hassouna v. Canada (Citizenship and Immigration), 2017 FC 473 (CanLII)
In this decision, the Federal Court struck down the entire process by which naturalized Canadians could have their citizenship revoked on the basis that the revocation process violated the Bill of Rights. In its place, the Court required that a process be created which allowed full participatory rights to the individual who is facing revocation including the opportunity to make humanitarian and compassionate submissions.
