How does Canada handle immigration?

After last week’s “s-hole” comments from the President, gave the impression that immigrants from these certain countries do not help the economy or the countries they go to. An op-ed in the National Post actually says that immigrants from these countries to Canada fair better than others as they’re more apt to create work.
